**Title:** Navigating Manila's Road Closures: A Guide for Zoologists During the Iglesia Ni Cristo "National Rally for Peace"

**Meta Description:** Plan ahead with this comprehensive guide on navigating Manila's road closures during the Iglesia Ni Cristo "National Rally for Peace" on January 13. Get informed and minimize disruptions to your daily routine.

As zoologists, we're no strangers to navigating unfamiliar territories and adapting to unexpected situations. However, when it comes to dealing with traffic congestion in urban areas, it can be a daunting task. With the upcoming Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) "National Rally for Peace" on January 13, several roads around the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, Manila will be closed to traffic from 4 a.m. onwards.

**Understanding the Necessity of Road Closures**

To ensure a safe and efficient flow of people during the rally, authorities have identified nine roads that will be closed or restricted. Closing these roads minimizes congestion and reduces the risk of accidents, allowing attendees to safely reach their destinations.

**Which Roads Will be Closed?**

The City of Manila has designated the following roads for closure:

* Katigbak Drive and South Drive
* Independence Road
* North- and southbound lanes of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to UN Avenue
* North- and southbound lanes of Bonifacio Drive from Katigbak Drive to Anda Circle
* P. Burgos Avenue from Victoria Street to Roxas Boulevard
* Ma. Orosa Street from P. Burgos Avenue to UN Avenue
* Finance Road from P. Burgos Avenue to Taft Avenue
* Gen. Luna Roundtable
* Kalaw Avenue from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard

**Alternative Routes for Vehicles**

To minimize disruptions, the city government has issued a traffic advisory with alternative routes for vehicles:

1. Vehicles coming from the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, A. Mabini Street, and Ma. Orosa Street intending to use Kalaw Avenue shall turn right to UN Avenue to point of destination.
2. All trucks and trailers traversing the northbound lane of Osmeña Highway going to Mel Lopez Boulevard (Pier Area) shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Avenue to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.
3. Vehicles from Ayala Boulevard intending to use Finance Road straight to P. Burgos Avenue shall turn left to Taft Avenue to point of destination.
4. Vehicles from the Jones Bridge, Mac Arthur Bridge, and Quezon Bridge intending to use P. Burgos Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard shall take Lagusnilad straight to Taft Avenue to point of destination.
5. Vehicles from Sta. Lucia Street to Muralla Street intending to use the Gen. Luna Roundtable shall go straight to Muralla Street to point of destination.
6. Vehicles from Mel Lopez Boulevard intending to use Bonifacio Drive shall take Anda Circle then turn right to Soriano Avenue to point of destination.
7. All trailer trucks and heavy vehicles coming from Mel Lopez Boulevard (R-10) going to Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to Capulong Street, straight to Yuseco Street to Lacson Avenue to point of destination (old truck route).

**Where to Park**

For those attending the rally, parking areas have been designated:

* Two lanes on the inner side of Roxas Boulevard from UN Avenue to P. Ocampo Street
* Two lanes on the inner side of Mel Lopez Boulevard from Anda Circle to NLEX Connector City limit
